house of layo

Truth be told, I named this place after my dog; the late great Leo. (Pronounced Layo - Leo with a Spanish accent. Yes, my dog spoke Spanish.)

He was my soulmate and guardian. If you’ve ever had a connection like this with an animal, then maybe you get it. If you haven’t, I hope you do some day.

What started as a kind of joke, quickly turned into what felt right. A play on the House of Leo (since my star sign is, indeed, leo and this is, indeed, a house) but wanting to make sure everyone had the proper pronunciation. I explored the spelling and found that Layo is an ancient word meaning beauty, purity and light. Yes. Yes. Yes. What better name to embody this collective of holistic beauty? The place you come to feel beautiful, pure and light.

Welcome to my house of beauty.

Xx, Audrey Rae
